These earrings are a wonderful combination of a tanzanite quartz 10 mm round arranged with two 8 mm Dumortierite rounds, 4 mm corrugated sterling silver saucers & 5 mm plain sterling silver saucers, all suspended inside a hammered sterling silver marquise drop hung on sterling silver 34 mm sparkle ear wires that feature all-over facets that reflect the light and create an eye-catching effect. Tanzanite is extremely rare, incredibly attractive, very expensive & almost impossible to source in rounds, so our supplier has found a way to treat quartz that results in a similar intense color as tanzanite, making these 10mm rounds much more affordable. Quartz is said to have many divine properties including the ability to amplify and radiate the energy put into it and help individuals achieve their goals.
Dumortierite is an aluminum borosilicate mineral that varies in color from blue, green and brown to the more rare violet and pink. First described in 1881, the mineral was named for French paleontologist Eugene Durmortier (1803-1873). It is believed to bring the wearer water energy and to promote flow, control and orderliness.
